JIM ROACH IS AN EMMY AWARD WINNING SONGWRITER-WRITER, PRODUCER, AND OWNER OF SANTA MONICA RECORDINGS, NOW BASED IN NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE.

After years of being on the road and in the studio as a multi-instrumentalist, Jim switched gears in 2004 to work exclusively in the recording studio. 

Jim has been a writer for SONGS Publishing and Kobalt Publishing, while also working with artists like Linkin Park, Brett Young, and Ninja Sex Party. Additionally Jim has a long history of sync placements in film and television through his joint venture publishing company with music supervisor Dave Jordan, while still developing artists for his label Santa Monica Recordings / AWAL. In recent years several of his songs and records have reached the top 10 at Billboard in across several categories.

Jim is also an executive producer for Apple Music /  Beats1 Radio with Zane Lowe. He currently produces Joshua Homme's (Queens of the Stone Age / Eagles of Death Metal) show The Alligator Hour, St. Vincent’s Mixtape Delivery Service, Ezra Koenig’s (Vampire Weekend) Time Crisis, and Haim’s show Haim Time.
